Breaking: Youths plot to block Mujuru and colleagues from attending congress

Zanu PF youths are threatening to chuck out embattled Vice president Joice Mujuru and her colleagues at the forthcoming crucial congress next week, Zimbabwe news has learnt.
Sources in Zanu PF said Mujuru, who has been a target of attacks following exposure of alleged plots to oust president Robert Mugabe is likely to be humiliated if she attends the congress.
“We will chuck her out of the congress venue together with her supporters” said one youth league official.
“People should learn from the Goche experience,” he said.

Zanu PF youth league deputy secretary Kudzai Chipanga said the youths will defend Mugabe and his family from those who want to eliminate him.
“Our duty is to defend our president together with his family so as vanguards of the revolution we will move in to defend him.” Chipanga said.
“It will be risky to allow those accused to be close to the the president so we are not going to entertain them at the congress. We are going to politically eliminate all those accused of pausing danger to our leader.”
Last month Zanu PF supporters staged a demonstration before the politburo meeting denouncing Mujuru. Insiders said Mujuru arrived at the venue well before the demonstrators gathered at the party headquarters.
Mujuru did not attend last week’s politburo meeting for unknown reasons while Goche failed to pitch up due to deteriorating health condition.
The labour minister Nicholas Goche had to flee for dear life last week after youths aligned to a faction reportedly headed by Justice minister Emmerson Mnangagwa pounced on him, demanding that he be cleared of treason allegations, before he could attend any party meeting.
Goche was due to attend a provincial co-ordinating committee (PCC) meeting in Bindura, when youths mobbed him, threatening to assault him if he insisted on attending.
This followed reports in the State media alleging Goche travelled to South Africa and Israel to hire hitmen to assassinate Mugabe, as factional fighting reaches a climax in Zanu PF ahead of next week’s congress.
Goche is reportedly aligned to a faction led by Mujuru in the race to succeed Mugabe.
The two, together with ousted party spokesperson, Rugare Gumbo, and secretary for administration, Didymus Mutasa, had been accused of plotting to assassinate Mugabe.
