The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) requires US$274 million for the 2018 general elections.
ZEC Chairperson Justice Rita Makarau says the budget has already been submitted to treasury for funding.
This came out when the ZEC team led by Justice Makarau appeared before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development.
The committee probed ZEC on measures it has taken to promote women participation in the forthcoming elections.
The committee is advocating for 105 out of 210 constituencies to achieve gender equality.
Justice Makarau said affidavits will be accepted for those without proof of residence during the voter registration process.
ZEC has also advised that those with identification cards which indicate that they are aliens must regularise their identification particulars to show that they are Zimbabwean citizens.
