Chinotimba turns to Makandiwa for help

HARARE – Buhera South Zanu PF member of Parliament Joseph Chinotimba yesterday made a passionate plea for assistance from the United Family International Church (UFIC) to complete the  construction of a clinic in his constituency.

This comes after the Emmanuel Makandiwa-led church through its Agape Family Care Charity arm, last December, conducted hundreds of free eye cataract surgeries in Buhera, Chipinge and Chimanimani.makandiwa

On average, the cost of cataract operation on both eyes costs between $2 000 to $3 000 in Zimbabwe, which is far out of reach for the impoverished rural folk.

Chinotimba made the appeal when he attended yesterday’s service to thank Makandiwa for helping people who had eyesight problems in his constituency.

Citing the scripture 1 Timothy 5:8, Chinotimba said, “Kana munhu asingachengeti hama dzake, uye zvikuru sei veimba yake, arasa kutenda, uye akaipa kukunda asingatendi. (But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.)

“I would want to thank the prophet for what he did to people in my constituency. I didn’t have to read the Bible that people can have their eyesight restored but I saw it for myself,”  Chinotimba said.

He added that he had pioneered the construction of a clinic in the area but work had stalled because of shortage of resources.

“You know, in Buhera we have so many problems from the issues of hyenas, famine and just a few days ago another person was bitten by a snake and died because the clinic is very far.

“So, I had initiated a project to construct a clinic but the project has come to a standstill at roofing level that is also why I have come to appeal to the prophet so that he might help us complete it.”
