DYNAMOS have received a timely boost with the availability of offensive midfielder Ronald Chitiyo for Saturday’s Chibuku Super Cup first round match against WhaWha at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.

Chitiyo has been injured and missed the last few games including the league visit to Highlanders last month.

His return will add more attacking options to caretaker coach Tonderayi Ndiraya who last weekend lost to Highlanders in the ZNA Charity Shield final.

“It is good Rooney (Chitiyo) is back in the team ahead of this game. You know he is an important player in the team,” Ndiraya said.

“We missed him dearly in the last matches. Now that he is back, we hope for an improved performance. He combines well with the other attackers and we hope to do well.

“We are taking this game seriously because remember WhaWha beat us in the league match at their Ascot home. So we are very cautious about them.”

It would be the first time for debutants WhaWha to play in a top-flight league knockout competition.
