A duet featuring superstar Oliver Mtukudzi and gospel musician Mathias Mhere is expected anytime soon.

The song “Tsano Handei” will be on Mhere’s third album “Glory to Glory” due for release next month.

Mtukudzi’s manager, Sam Mataure, confirmed the collaboration saying it was another chance for the “Todii” singer to uplift young artistes.

“It is good because mudhara (Tuku) is working with several artistes from different genres so that the music industry grows.

People should expect a number of interesting collaborations this year,” he said.

Mhere said he was happy that Mtukudzi accepted his request for collaboration.

He said all the ground work was done and fans should look forward to a different package.

The “Favour” hit maker said he has engaged a new producer, Charles Ayibeki, on the album.

“My previous albums were done by Lyton Ngolomi but for a change the latest is being produced by Ayibeki,” he said.

Some of the songs to be featured on the album include “Mazuva Akare”, “Vasiye Varonge”, “Pahushamwari”, “It’s not Over” and “Mwari Variko”.

“Like my previous albums “Glory to Glory” looks at different aspects of Christianity,” said Mhere.

His first recording titled “Tinoda Nyasha” was released in 2008 but failed to make an impact on the local market.

He found his glory in 2012 with the album “Anoita Minana” followed by “Nguva Yenyasha,” that was released in 2013.

Mhere is set to tour Dallas Texas, United States, next month.

“We will have our first shows in Dallas Texas and that will be an opportunity to launch the album abroad,” said Mhere.

Born on June 13, 1988 in Gutu, Mhere entered the music industry as a vocalist for a Gweru-based group Rock of Ages before moving to Harare in 2007.

In that same year, he engaged the services of guitarist-cum-producer Clive Mono Mkundu to produce his debut album “Tinoda Nyasha” which failed to make it on the market.
