MDC-T deputy organising secretary Thamsaqa Mahlangu has died.
Mahlangu, according to party deputy treasurer Chalton Hwende, died early this morning at a private hospital in Bulawayo.
“He passed on this morning. He had been ill for some time,” Hwende said.
Mhlangu was also a former MDC-T national youth assembly chairman.
MDC-T national spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora said Mahlangu “succumbed to cancer”.
He described Mahlangu as a “fearless fighter for democracy”.
The Nkulumane constituency MP was reportedly admitted at Hillside hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Senior party members close to the former deputy minister of Youth and Indigenisation told NewZimbabwe.com that Mahlangu was admitted at the health centre about two months ago.
