Family Firm Institute Awards Scholarships to Recipients from Zimbabwe

The Family Firm Institute Global Education Network (GEN) scholarships are highly competitive and provide recipients with online education and professional designations in family business and family wealth advising. Five full scholarships were awarded to individuals from around the world. This year, FFI has also awarded partial scholarships to a select group.

The Crystal, The Private Group of Alliant Scholarship was awarded to Brandon Addison, who is the founder of Signpost Collective and serves as a leadership and strategy consultant for Core Ventures in Denver, CO. He has more than 10 years experience working with a variety of government, private, nonprofit, and family enterprises.

The de Visscher & Co. Scholarship was awarded to Catalina Arango, who works at Lansberg Gersick & Associates as a junior associate, supporting families in the design and implementation of plans to ensure the continuity of their businesses throughout generational transitions.

The Waesche Family Scholarship was awarded to Tsitsi Mutendi, an award-winning businesswoman who is currently committed to working with African family businesses’ transition from generational wealth to generational legacies.

D. Randolph Waesche, FFI Fellow, is president and CEO of Resource Management, LLC, https://www.rmiadvisors.com/copy-of-meet-the-advisors-1 a Louisiana Registered Investment Advisory firm. Randy and his firm are long-time sponsors of the Family Business Review and the FBR Best Reviewer Award in addition to his family’s generous support of this scholarship.

The AlTouq Group Scholarship was awarded to Kevin Au, PhD, CFBA/CFWA, who co-founded the CUHK Centre for Entrepreneurship and serves as the current Director. He is also Director of the Centre for Family Business and he co-leads the FFI chapter of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Fitzpatrick & Francis Family Business Continuity Foundation Scholarship was awarded to Navneet Bhatnagar, PhD, CFBA, a Senior Researcher at the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise, Indian School of Business, in Hyderabad, India. He was the 2018 recipient of the de Visscher & Co. Scholarship, and he is the author of several précis of Family Business Review articles for FFI Practitioner.

Fitzpatrick & Francis Family Business Continuity Foundation http://familybusinessresourcecenter.org/fbc-foundation is dedicated to providing financial support for the training and education of family business advisors either through grants directly to individuals or to institutions that provide education and training to individuals.
