The deal has been in limbo until it was eventually signed by Transport and infrastructure development minister Joram Gumbo and Gieger International chairman Erik Geiger on Monday.
Sources said Grace met the Geiger International representatives in Dubai between August 9 and 15 August.
Grace left for Dubai after the Defence Forces celebrations where she held a series of meetings.
“She was paid US$20 million to facilitate the deal,” said the source.
Sources said Grace has now relaunching her assault on Vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa whom she wants demoted by December.
“The G40 faction is now liquid so they are now holding meetings to attack Mnangagwa.”
On Wednesday Grace has called for a women’s league meeting at her Mazowe orphanage centre where she will attack Mnangagwa.
Zanu PF is currently  torn apart due to serious infighting pitting Grace who is being supported by the young Turks known as G40, on one side and Mnangagwa on the other.
G40 has vowed to derail Mnangagwa ascendency in the cutthroat succession debacle to replacing aging and frail President Robert Mugabe.
The women’s league and the youths have been Grace’s footsoldiers while the war veterans and state institutions are backing Mnangagwa.
“They want to relaunch their bid again and Grace Orphanage centre has always been the place where she sets off her dogs on Mnangagwa,” a Zanu PF insider said.
Grace has on various occasions attacked Mnangagwa pushing for his ouster as she did to the former Vice president Joice Mujuru.
Mnangagwa has been publicly attacked by the G40 faction proponents who include Sarah Mahoka and Mandi Chimene.
In February this year Grace launched spirited attacks in Mnangagwa at a rally in Chiweshe. The Wednesday meeting comes at a time when the G40 faction is reportedly printing Tshirts in support of Grace.
“Two million Tshirts are being printed in South Africa and are emblazoned with Grace’s image written ‘Munhu wese kuna Amai.”
The source also said the Tshirts will be distributed ahead of the conference.
