A ZANU-PF legislator who was subjected to a verbal attack by President Robert Mugabe’s powerful and feared wife Grace—so vicious was the attack that she fainted on the spot and had to be rushed to hospital where she became blind—has died.
TheZimbabwenewslive.com can reveal that Joan Tsogorani , who was a proportional representation legislator, got so frightened by Grace’s savage attack on her, that she fainted and was hospitalised suffering from severe high blood pressure which resulted in her losing her sight and did not recover leading to her death today.
Tsogorani, together with now suspended former acting ZANU-PF Mashonaland West provincial chairman Ziyambi Ziyambi (who has since been dismissed from his post of Deputy Home Affairs minister) were on July 10 publicly insulted by a furious Grace in front of a huge in Kadoma for allegedly fanning factionalism in the province.
“Following the attack on her, she fainted and was ferried to her car and rushed to hospital where doctors said her blood pressure had shot to dangerous levels, she became completely blind since then,” ZANU-PF sources said.
It was at the same function at which Grace was launching a housing programme, where she said the country’s Vice Presidents Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko take notes when she is addressing them.

Ziyambi, who is related to President Mugabe, and Tsogorani had allegedly tried to block Grace’s trip to Kadoma where she launched a housing project.
All people who have been verbally attacked by Grace have lost their posts both in ZANU-PF and the government.
