Zimbabwe man charged with Mahachi murder misses his kids

A Zimbabwean man who appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death at her home in Sheffield, the United Kingdom has told him mum that he misses his children.

Fusura, a divorced father of three is currently on Remand at  HMP Doncaster where he told his mother during a visit last week that he misses his kids so much.

Leigh-Anne Mahachi, 22, was discovered at a property in Spotswood Close in Gleadless Valley, at about 08:15 BST on Tuesday, but died later in hospital.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died from multiple stab wounds.

Appearing at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court, Douglas Furusa, 37, of Circular Road, Colchester, Essex, was remanded in custody.

He is next due to attend Sheffield Crown Court on 12 May.
