His remarks followed widespread reports that his “dirty lyrics” that did not sit well with many music fans precipitated his fall into oblivion.

“I am still vibrant. Those people who claim that my music career is in the doldrums are lost. I’m now based in Chiredzi and all is well. My latest album, Yava Nguva Yeduzvino, is doing well. Last weekend I was in Gokwe and the reception was overwhelming,” he said.

Moyana, rose to glory a few years ago through the controversial song Munotidako, in which he spoke about how he was in demand, but the title also played on the vulgar innuendo.

This saw his music getting very little airplay, if any at all, despite that the musician had stolen the hearts of a number of local promoters who secured slots for the then Beitbridge-based musician, resulting in him relocating to Harare, his new hunting ground.

“People say that dirty lyrics have resulted in my misfortunes but that is not true. As I always say, I do not do dirty lyrics.
People who loved my music will still appreciate it,” he said.

“I will return to the capital anytime from now. I still believe that I can secure meaningful deals there,” said Moyana.
