JAH Prayzah gave a top drawer performance in Masvingo seemingly unfazed after a rocky week in which pictures of him snuggling up with former Zifa boss Henrietta Rushwaya surfaced.
Accompanied by his 3rd ensemble, Jah Prayzah, real name Mukudzei Mukombe, performed before hundreds of fans at Mucheke Stadium on Saturday night. He danced and sang with reckless abandon showing no signs of stress after suggestive photos in the company of Rushwaya while in her “bedroom” circulated on social media platforms.
His manager Keen Mushapaidze, however, was evasive when this reporter asked about his boss’ links to Rushwaya as he kept saying the matter was explained and dealt with by other media houses.
“The matter was long dealt with by other media houses. It’s too personal,” said Mushapaidze.
Efforts to get a comment from Jah Prayzah proved fruitless.
Arriving on stage at midnight after Ricky Fire had mesmerised show-goers with his dancehall lyrics, Jah Prayzah did not waste time and churned out hit after hit which kept fans spell bound.
Flanked by a six member-dancing crew whose choreography left ecstatic fans crying for more, the Harare-based artiste was in scintillating form.
The fans went haywire when Jah Prayzah played songs from his latest offering, Jerusalema, which include Eriza, Mundiregerere and Soldier among others.Chronicle
