Irish Council for International Students in Ireland is inviting applications for Kader Asmal Fellowship Programme for South African or Zimbabwean students for pursuing postgraduate studies. 

Brief Description: Kader Asmal Fellowship Program is available for students of South Africa or Zimbabwe. Fellowships are available for pursuing postgraduate study. Applicants must be a South African citizen or a citizen of Zimbabwe holding a South African Permanent

Award Includes:
The Kader Asmal Fellowships will cover:
university application fees
-tuition fees
-examination and other fees
-economy travel to and from your country of residence to Ireland;
-settling in allowance, book allowance and study allowance
-accommodation
-a monthly personal living allowance (stipend) to cover other living expense for you only and
-the costs of an entry clearance (student visitor visa) application

Study Program: Fellowships are available for pursuing postgraduate study.

Study Major:
The fellowship programme has two strands: A: The General Strand: Business Management (Economics, Accounting, and Human Resource etc and strands B: The Human Rights Law Strand, for an LLM in Law at Trinity College Dublin.

Host Organization: ICOS – Irish Council for International Students, Ireland

Number of Awards: There are approximately 8 fellowships under the general strand and 1 Human Rights Law fellowship available in 2016. However awards will be made on the basis of available funding and suitable applicants and numbers may vary.

National/International Students: South African citizens or Zimbabwean citizens (in possession of a South African permanent resident permit) are eligible to apply for this fellowship.

Application Procedure: The online application form which can be found on the Canon Collins Trust website is of primary importance as it serves as the basis for assessment. You will find full instructions online when you start a new form. All applicants are required to submit the following supporting documentation:
-Certified copies of ID document (the following are acceptable: Passport, Birth Certificate, Driver’s License)
-Degree certificates
-Academic transcripts
-Academic reference letters from two referees. References must be on a letter head.
-A curriculum vitae
-You should ask your referees to write a reference that relates to your application for this fellowship. It should outline your strengths as an applicant, demonstrate your capacity to study at the level required, explain how you would benefit from further study and identify your potential impact in the future.

Submission Deadline: The application deadline is 22 February 2016.
