Addressing thousands of pilgrims in Gokwe Defe Dopota, where the commemoratons were held, ZCC leader, Dr Nehemiah Mutendi urged Zimbabweans not to be used by outsiders to destabilise the country.

“People should pray for their country and at the same time promote peace and love in the nation. Foreigners protect their own countries and leaders but when they come here, they try to mislead locals to turn against their elected leaders,” he said.

ZCC was founded in 1913 and the commemorations dubbed ‘Zuva Rasamere’ were graced by Prince Hlanganiso, the son of South Africa’s Zulu King Zwelithini, the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Professor Paul Mavhima and legislator for Gokwe-Kabuyuni  Lovemore Chikomba.-zbc
