Man Walks 25km On Birthday To Raise Awareness On Lack Of Sanitary Pads For Girl Child

A Harare Man – Wellington  Mahohoma today walked 25km to raise awareness on the challenges faced by the Girl Child to access sanitary wear in Zimbabwe. He was joined by a group of other marchers some from Women’s Institute Of Leadership Development (WILD).

One of the ladies who joined up with Wellington was Coezett Chirinda wrote on Facebook.

“So today my day started with walking for the girl child’s access to sanitary wear…Our girls are skipping school because of lack of sanitary wear so as we celebrated Wellington Mahohoma a human rights activist’s birthday today we walked 25 km to raise funds to donate sanitary wear to girls in need…We are still appealing for donations and they can be send via ecocash to +263777078387. A big thank you to the Women in Leadership Development Trust (WILD) team, the Justice for Women Zimbabwe team and Wellington Mahohoma for making this possible…”

There is also a GoFundMe campaign that they have put in place
