Zvishavane residents are shocked after the body of a Grade 1 pupil, Elohim Ziwanza (6) who went missing for two days was recovered bundled in a sack dumped in a bush.
The sack was discovered by a curious passerby on Tuesday evening after the boy left home for school at around 6am this week on Monday.
The body was found in a bushy area near Highlands residential area.
Elohim went to Makwasha Primary school.
Chief Supretendant Albert Ncube confirmed the incident and advised parents to jealously guard the safety of their children.
Sources told The Mirror that the boy’s mother  returned from work to find her son not returned from school.
She enquired his whereabouts from neighbours, her child’s schoolmates and the teacher and discovered her son did not make it to school that day.
She went to report the matter to the Police and a missing person’s report was filed.
On Tuesday evening an unidentified man who was on his way to Zvishavane CBD from Chief Masunda area noticed a suspicious looking sack and upon approaching it saw the body of the deceased and reported the matter to Police.
The body now awaits postmortem.
