The Mbare-born Chisora owns cows, sheep, horses, Shetland ponies, and two reindeers at his UK farm. He uses his acres of farmland to ride quadbikes and motorbikes, and for clay pigeon shooting.

When he isn’t talking crudely about vaseline, demanding more money in the middle of press conferences or flipping over tables, Derek ‘WAR’ Chisora can be seen on his countryside farm seeking solitude amongst nature and his animals.

The unlikely boxing hero from London has become a fan-favourite over recent years. Known for his foul-mouthed rants, a former rivalry with David Haye that has now blossomed into a working relationship, spitting in the face of Wladimir Klitschko prior to his hard-fought loss to older brother Vitali, the Zimbabwe-born 35-year-old uses the farm as an escape from all of that showmanship and public image.

He told Sky Sports, “When I’m here, when the gate closes, I shut off. I shut off from everything. You don’t look at your phone when you’re here. It’s the only place where you won’t look at your phone.”

However, the former British, Commonwealth and European champion is adamant he would never mix boxing with is farm life, keeping the two avocations completely seperate.

‘Delboy’ Chisora (31-9, 22 KO’s) returns to the ring three months on from his emphatic second round KO win against Artur Szpilka to face domestic rival David Price (25-6, 20KO’s) at The O2 on Saturday October 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and DAZN in the US.

Chisora, who was scheduled to face former WBO World Champion Joseph Parker until the New Zealander was forced out through illness, will now face Liverpool’s ‘Big Truck’ in an intriguing British heavyweight match-up in which the winner will cement themselves as a top contender in boxing’s blue-ribbon division.
