Trevor D engages international artistes

Urban grooves sensation Trevor Dongo, or Trevor D as he is affectionately known by his legion of fans, has been in and out of Zimbabwe putting final touches on his upcoming videos for latest offering dubbed “Two Steps to Go” with some other regional and local artistes.

The musician has done “unexpected collaborations videos” with artistes from Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Malawi expected on the market soon.

Although he declined to name the artistes who are featuring on the project, Dongo said his fans should expect fireworks and rather spectacular videos of his latest offering.

“I am currently busy in and out of the country working on an unexpected collaborations with some international and local big names on the super videos to be released soon”, said Trevor without giving an exact date.

The nine track album which was released in October 2014 is currently doing well on the air waves with some tracks such as “Nemoyo” sitting on number one on Power FM’s top 20 chats. The musician said he wants this offering be a surprise to the audience.

“There are some people waiting to degrade other people’s efforts and I decided to make this project a surprise,” he said.

The song “African girl” which features Soul Jah Love and Shyman-Shaizo has much substance in the world of love. The motivational “Handisi Kumira” is something to cheer about as it encourages people to soldier on despite painful challenges in life.

“Kana ndinewe” featuring Tehn Diamond narrates how two love birds become proud of each other in a relationship.

Trevor is in high spirits that he is arguably one among a few best urban groovers who managed to stand their ground during Zimdancehall movement last year.

“I happen to be one of the few urban groovers who stood their ground during the Zimdancehall movement last year, 2014, I won’t be stopped by the stance of stiff situation but I change the situation,” boasted Trevor.

He said the videos are being directed by Bless aka “Bedentified” Gatsi and Angel Arts with the music to be available in all music shops and iTunes.

Trevor has hogged the limelight in the music industry with hit albums such as “Ndozviita Sei” released in 2006, “Ruvarashe” worked in 2010, “First Verse” and “Two Steps to Go” released in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
