UK:ZimbabweanTapiwa Furusa charged with Mahachi murder remanded in custody until May

A Zimbabwean man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death at her home in Sheffield, the United Kingdom.

Leigh-Anne Mahachi, 22, was discovered at a property in Spotswood Close in Gleadless Valley, at about 08:15 BST on Tuesday, but died later in hospital.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died from multiple stab wounds.

Appearing at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court, Douglas Furusa, 37, of Circular Road, Colchester, Essex, was remanded in custody.

He is next due to attend Sheffield Crown Court on 12 May. BBC
