Last week, it was the women’s team, the Mighty Warriors as they booked a historic ticket to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

This week, it’s the turn of the men’s side as they made their fourth consecutive African Nations Championships (Chan) finals.

The Warriors drew with Lesotho at the Setsoto Stadium on Sunday afternoon to give coach Kalisto Pasuwa an appearance in Rwanda in January.

And it was that man again, Rodreck Mutuma, who ensured the road to Rwanda was wide open with a 35th minute strike.

Then Lesotho were awarded a penalty in the 77th minute that striker Tsepo Senturumane put away.

Eight minutes from time, Zimbabwe were awarded a penalty that defender Blessing Moyo converted.

But the referee adjudged that the Lesotho goalkeeper had moved before the ball was taken and ordered a retake.

Moyo blazed his second effort way over the bar.

It mattered little as the Warriors made sure they secured their ticket after appearances in 2009, 2011 and 2014.
