Warriors striker Musona joins Belgian outfit KV Oostende

ZIMBABWE international striker, Knowledge Musona, has completed his move to KV Oostende, signing a long-term deal with the Belgian outfit.

The 24-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs striker completed his move from Germany’s Hoffenheim, after signing a two and a half year deal.

Mike Makaab, the player’s representative, confirmed the development.

“We’re thrilled,” said the agent.

“First and foremost we want to thank Kaizer Chiefs and their supporters for their part in his career and Hoffenheim for realising his potential. Things didn’t work out in Germany, but it was a great experience for him overall.

“Knowledge wanted to stay in Europe and, as his representatives, we had to make that happen. Oostende is a great opportunity for him to show what he’s capable of.

“I want to thank Marc Coucke and everyone at Oostende for giving him this opportunity. Hopefully he’ll form a nice partnership with Andile.”

Andile Jali, a former striker at South African Premiership side Orlando Pirates, is now on the books of the Belgium outfit.

The Belgian club was also home to fellow Zimbabwean international Nyasha Mushekwi who is now back at his South African side Mamelodi Sundowns following the expiry of his loan deal.
