The latest cabinet reshuffle, announced late Monday afternoon, saw Kembo Mohadi moved to state security while former local government minister Ignatius Chombo replaced him at home affairs.

Chombo was replaced by Zanu PF political commissar Savior Kasukuwere who was in charge of the water and climate change portfolio.

Oppah Muchinguri replaced Kasukuwere.

Nyasha Chikwinya becomes the minister of women affairs while Retired brigadier Ambrose Mutinhiri becomes minister of state for Mashonaland East, taking over for the newly elected Zanu PF provincial chairman Joel Biggie Matiza.

The ministers were sworn in by Mugabe at the State House and their specific assignments were announced by chief secretary to the president and cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda.

Public focus was on Moyo who was recently asked to step down from the information portfolio following his election as MP for Tsholotsho North last month.

Mugabe had handpicked Moyo to occupy a cabinet post even though he had lost to MDC-T’s Roselene Nkomo in the July 2013 elections.

Newzimbabwe.com reported Sunday that former Zanu PF chair for Mashonaland West Themba Mliswa told journalists in Bulawayo that Moyo was going to be replaced by his adversary.

Mliswa accused Moyo of abusing the state media to advance his personal goals, warning Moyo’s bootlickers in the state media to pack and go as Moyo’s adversary was going to be taking over.

But according to the Monday line up Mugabe has yet to find a suitable replacement for Moyo.
