By TZN Correspondent Mabvuku-Tafara MP James Maridadi has alleged that Chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Indigenisation Justice Mayor Wadyajena and Youth and Indigenisation minister Patrick Zhuwao had a heated exchange where it was alleged that Wadyajena wanted to kill President Robert Mugabe.
The incident happened during Pre- Budget Seminar in Victoria Falls from the 30th October to the 3rd of November 2015. Maridadi during a Parliamentary session Wednesday raised a point of order asking why the ruling that was supposed to be delivered by the Speaker of the National Assembly on the contempt of Parliament regarding Hon. Kasukuwere and Hon. Wadyajena is still pending.
“When we were in Victoria Falls for the Pre- Budget Seminar recently, there was an argument between Hon. Wadyajena and Minister Patrick Zhuwao where it was alleged that Hon. Wadyajena wanted to kill the President. So, I am now saying, we want to know about those rulings and we want to know who was in the wrong between Hon. Wadayajena and Hon. Kasukuwere”, asked Hon Maridadi.
Wadyajena has previously clashed with Kasukuwere over his administration of the indigenisation committee as the minister felt that the MP was abusing parliamentary processes to settle personal political scores. But Wadyajena accused Kasukuwere of threatening and intimidating him and his committee for merely doing their work.
Gokwe-Nembudziya MP Wadyajena has mocked Zanu-PF party officials accused of fighting Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s ascendancy to the Presidency saying they had gone back to school after failing in their bid.
Wadyajena a known Mnangagwa ally took to micro-blogging site twitter to chide those opposed to Mnangagwa’s rise to go back to school and understand the party policy.
Although he did not mention anyone by name the statement was in obvious reference to Higher Education minister Jonathan Moyo, Saviour Kasukuwere and Patrick Zhuwao who have enrolled for law classes at the University of Zimbabwe.
