MEDICAL doctors at Chitungwiza General Hospital have been fired by the Health Services Board after they engaged in an unlawful job action stretching as way back as 17 September over allowances.
The doctors claim they are incapacitated to attend work and have been demanding wages linked to the interbank exchange rate, but Treasurywould not budge.
This brings to over 300 the total number of striking doctors who have been dismissed from public service for absenteeism fr work. See the statement below:
However, unverified reports indicate senior doctors have demanded that if the recent dismissals are not reversed, all senior doctors will also not come to work.
