A 33-YEAR-OLD Bakers Inn employee appeared before a Harare magistrate yesterday facing a culpable homicide charge after he allegedly fatally crushed his workmate with a dough mixer at the company’s premises in Graniteside on Sunday.
The suspect, Tafadzwa Guta, was not asked to plead when he appeared before magistrate Bianca Makwande, who granted him $50 bail and remanded the matter to November 24.
Guta is alleged to have switched on the dough mixer and bowl machine, setting it in motion and killing David Chigiji, who was close by cleaning a hooper machine.
Chigiji was allegedly squeezed between the two machines and died instantly.
