PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace, on Thursday said Cecil the lion killer must be left alone, but instead called for the skulls of our ancestors to be returned.

Addressing supporters at her Women’s League rally at Murombedzi Growth point Grace said she doesn’t want to hear demonstrations of Americans over the death of Cecil the Lion but instead they must demonstrate against the sanctions imposed on the people not against the dentist who knew nothing.

“For me this dentist was not aware of the importance of Cecil the lion but the people allowed him to come and hunt, they are wrong!”

“I said the dentist who killed Cecil the lion must be left alone but the skulls of our ancestors must come back”, she said.

She launched yet another scathing attack against whites describing them as hypocrites who are more concerned about Cecil the Lion , not sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.

“I don’t like hypocrisy being exhibited by the whites. The whites are more concerned about Cecil the Lion ”, she said

Britain recently  revealed that it is negotiating with Zimbabwe over the repatriation of remains thought to belong to fighters from the Africancountry’s struggle against its colonisers, currently held in the Natural History Museum in London.

THE Zanu PF government cannot concentrate on turning around the economy for now before repatriation of the remains of the country’s First Chimurenga heroes lying in foreign museums, Higher and Tertiary Education minister Jonathan Moyo was quoted saying.

Commenting on his Twitter account in response to a remark by one of his followers calling on government to concentrate on rebuilding the free-falling economy, Moyo said: “How can we focus on the economy when the skulls of Mbuya Nehanda and Sekuru Kaguvi are displayed in a British museum? These barbarians have been displaying the skulls of our First Chimurenga heroes and heroines in their libraries!”

Efforts to get a comment from the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force who broke the news of the Cecil the lion ‘s death were fruitless  in light of The First Lady’s latest remarks.
