Mugabe Tuesday flew out to Botswana where he was set to meet the Sadc secretariat in Gaborone. The State owned Herald reported Wednesday that Mugabe was welcomed by Botswana’s foreign minister at airport and scores of zimbabwean youths who are based in Botswana welcomed him at the hotel and broke into song and dance praising him.
Mugabe, who is Sadc chairperson, was making his first visit since assuming the chairmanship last year.
Presidential spokesperson George Charamba said the visit was routine.
