The leader of Spirit Embassy The Good News Church, Uebert Angel, is under the fire as some of the claims that he made in the Forbes Magazine in 2014 get scrutinised, an online publication PaZimbabwe has revealed.

It is alleged that Uebert Angel who became the second Zimbabwean to have a story of his life and entrepreneurial profile published by world acclaimed publication Forbes Magazine fabricated most of the claims.

This publication has it on good authority that claims such as this that Angel bought Great Hampton Limited, a British company with 30 000 square feet of choice real estate as its chief asset were fabrications, indeed the structure exists but doesn’t belong to Angel.

The structure, which is claimed to be close to Birmingham University School of Law, was valued at around $2million. However, it is alleged that his Birmingham Church which used these premises for church service rented this building and it was never owned by Uebert Angel.

Uebert Angel’s Church got kicked out of the building in 2016 after failing to pay rent. The church still owes the landlord a substantial amount in rent arrears to this day.

The Forbes article also claims that in 2016 Uebert Angel donated 1.4 Million which he had got from friends and well wishers for his birthday to charity. However, to this day there has not been a single beneficiary known to have benefited from this large donation and indeed it begs the question did this really happen?

Another claim that was challenged from the Forbes article was that Angel built a noteworthy media empire, with secular and lifestyle television channels and a Christian charitable record label that owns the rights to the music of multi award winning artists like Sonnie Badu. This claim is as fictional as they come.

Angel has claimed a lot of things that demand scrutiny and the man of the cloth must be held to account for making outlandish claims.
He has claimed to have companies in Hong Kong and Europe but makes no mention of the name of his companies.

Outside the Forbes Magazine false claims Uebert Angel is also accused of setting up shelf companies that do not actually operate. His award winning construction company Sam Barkley is one such ( the award is unknown because the Prophet neglects to tell us what award? The construction company was registered in 2017.

It is alleged that he sets up these companies as a cover. They are smoke screens to have him spend church money without public backlash as the argument will be that he makes millions from his companies.

Our investigation into his companies found the following Atom Mobile which he launched in 2017 has yet to sell a single phone or SIM card.

Britts Bank which was said to be owned by Angel’s wife had its name change to Britts Money, and that is yet to take off.
The only business that seems to be functional is his Church.- PaZimbabwe
