HARARE – Fidelis Mhashu, the former Minister of National Housing has died.
He was 76.
Mhashu, a one-time MP of Chitungwiza North, died at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare on Monday night, his MDC party said.
“The MDC has learned with extreme sadness the loss of one of the founding fathers of the party of excellence, Honourable Fidelis Mhashu,” a statement from the party said.
Mhashu was a “fearless defender and veteran fighter for human rights”, the party added.
