Gary Ballance has been appointed Yorkshire Cricket Club’s new captain.
The Zimbabwe born 27 year old – currently on tour with the England Test squad in India – will take the reins in all three forms of the game next season.
He succeeds Andrew Gale as skipper of the Championship squad, after Gale’s appointment as the county’s new head coach, and also takes over from Alex Lees, who captained in one day games last season.
