Grace Mugabe Faces Eviction From Mazowe Farm

President Robert Mugabe’s widow Grace

Former First Lady Grace Mugabe may lose one of her farms in Mazowe after a miner, Langton Chapungu recently approached the High Court seeking her eviction together with two other individuals, only identified as Tongai and Jemwa, who are engaged in mining activities on the farm. Said Chapungu:

The first and second respondents (Tongai and Jemwa) are doing illegal mining activities in my plot and the third respondent (Grace) is also doing her farming activities in that same plot of mine, to an extent that she had even erected some structures at my place.

In Harare, Mrs Mugabe is facing similar threats with some people whose land was confiscated to pave way for the expansion of Mugabe’s Blue Roof mansion in Borrowdale.

Moreover, a senior official in the Ministry of Mines in Mashonaland Central province (provincial mining director Tariro Ndhlovu) last month issued a memorandum inviting claim owners in Manzou and other farms owned by the Mugabes to get back their farms
