First lady Grace Mugabe is relaunching her bid to oust vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa amid reports she is meeting the women’s league at her Mazowe orphanage centre on Wednesday.
This also comes at a time when the youth league is scheduled to convene its executive meeting on Friday in Harare.
Zanu PF is currently torn apart due to serious infighting pitting Grace who is being supported by the young Turks known as G40, on one side and Mnangagwa on the other.

G40 has vowed to derail Mnangagwa ascendency in the cutthroat succession debacle to replacing aging and frail President Robert Mugabe.
The women’s league and the youths have been Grace’s footsoldiers while the war veterans and state institutions are backing Mnangagwa.
“They want to relaunch their bid again and Grace orphanage centre has always been the place where she sets off her dogs on Mnangagwa,” a Zanu PF insider said.
Grace has on various occasions attacked Mnangagwa pushing for his ouster as she did to the former Vice president Joice Mujuru.
Mnangagwa has been publicly attacked by the G40 faction proponents who include Sarah Mahoka and Mandi Chimene.
In February this year Grace launched unspirited attacks in Mnangagwa at a rally in Chiweshe.
Mnangagwa, has however, survived because of state institutions backing him.
The military has been strongly behind Mnangagwa and at one time confronted Mugabe after Grace had attacked the VP.
The youth league has also been used by Grace to attack senior party officials.
“It seems we are heading for the home run because this fresh onslaught is meant to shape the December conference agenda,” said the source.
Ahead of the 2014 conference Grace launched a systematic attack on Mujuru until she was eventually fired from both government and the party.
The Wednesday meeting comes at a time when the G40 faction is reportedly printing Tshirts in support of Grace.

“Two million T-shirts are being printed in South Africa and the are emblazoned with Grace’s image written ‘Munhu wese kuna Amai.”
The source also said the Tshirts will be distributed ahead of the conference.
