At least 16 suspected bodies were identified in Ngangu area in Chimanimani on the first search day since the arrival of sniffer dogs in the area on Thursday.

Optimism of recovering more bodies trapped under the rubbles is getting high with each passing day in Ngangu as on Thursday at least 16 spots suspected to be holding human bodies were identified.

Search and Recovery Team Leader Justin Colbert who is leading a team of six experts and two sniffer dogs said the progress made so far is encouraging despite the fact that huge stones and massive debris is slowing their pace.
