A United Kingdom-based website, www.mafaro.co.uk, listed Magaya, who commands one of the largest followings in the Pentecostal church movement, as the most influential person under the age of 40 in the country, beating fellow charismatic preacher Emmanuel Makandiwa and high-flying musician Jah Prayzah, among others.

Speaking through his spokesperson Admire Mango, Magaya said he felt humbled by the award coming from an independent group of people who had no links at all to his PHD Ministries.

“To us, it is humbling. The Lord has uplifted us. We give thanks to Him and our partners who have stood with us and supported our vision. We feel challenged by the award and pray that the Lord will continue to use us in the deliverance of His people through the man of God Walter Magaya,” Mango said.

The award comes after Magaya held two international crusades in Botswana and South Africa where he drew thousands of attendants. Mango said the Lord had great things for His people and He would do so on the Night of Turnaround slated for November 6.

“We invite all Zimbabweans to attend this great event and celebrate with us the honour and humbling recognition that the people of Zimbabwe have bestowed upon the man of God,” Mango said.

“We believe that this award will give zeal and enthusiasm to the man of God to take the ministry to greater heights. We are really humbled and we say thank you. We now realise how important the man of God is and that the ministry is touching many lives within and abroad.”

Next to Magaya, is Jay Prayzah and Makandiwa, who also commands respect in the Pentecostal community.
