A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Tredworth, Gloucester, during the early hours of Tuesday, August 27.
Tanaka Zivania, a resident of Dora Walk in Gloucester, has been formally charged in connection with the death of 28-year-old Zanele Sibanda. The tragic incident occurred near the junction of Paul Street and Tarrington Road, where police were called at approximately 1:45 AM after reports of a woman suffering from suspected stab wounds.
Emergency services arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Ms. Sibanda was pronounced dead. Authorities have informed her next of kin, who are currently being supported by family liaison officers during this difficult time.
Zivania has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
