Gospel musician Mathias Mhere says he will launch his fourth album “Glory to Glory” on February 13 in Harare and the United States of America four days later.
He will launch the album in Harare just after its release before leaving for an international tour.
On February 17 he will launch the new release in Dallas, Texas, at his first show of a tour that will see him spending a month in the North American country.
“The first tour in that country comes at a time when we are launching our fourth album and we are looking forward to it,” he said.
He said the tour will allow him to meet and mingle with fans in the US for the first time.
“For a long time they have been waiting for my visit,” he said.
Mhere said he is well prepared to represent the country and exhibit his new stuff.
“I am ready for this and I will not disappoint my fans but will deliver good acts during the shows.
“There are promoters who said they want us to launch the album in the US and we will do that in a special way.
“We are travelling for a blessed tour because we will be unveiling a fresh project,” he said.
He said he was hopeful that people would receive the album well.
“We have done our best and we are hopeful that people will receive it well,” he said.
Oliver Mtukudzi features on a track titled “Tsano Handei” on the upcoming album.
Mhere is currently riding high with tracks off his last album like “Number Busy”, “Sahwira” and “Ziya Rangu”.
He rose to prominence with his second album “Anoita Minana”, which made him a household name with hits such as “Favour”, “Chipostori” and “Areka”.
Born on June 13, 1988 in Gutu, Mhere came into the music industry as a vocalist for Gweru-based group Rock of Ages before moving to Harare in 2007.
In that same year he engaged the services of guitarist-cum-producer Clive Mono Mkundu to produce his debut album “Tinoda Nyasha”, in 2008 which failed to make it on the market.
However, through hard work and persistence, Mhere has become a respected name in the gospel music scene and has been a prominent feature at big shows in and outside the country.
Mhere’s other albums are “Anoita Minana (2012)” and “Nguva Yenyasha (2013)”.
