Chiwenga Returns Home From China

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga returned home on Saturday after spending four months in China receiving medical treatment for an unknown illness.

Chiwenga, the 63-year-old former general who led a coup against the late Robert Mugabe two years ago, has spent a large part of the year away from work, also receiving treatment in South Africa and India.

Woman sits in front of Mnangagwa’s motorcade

An unnamed Harare woman today surprised the nation after she sat in the way of President Mnangagwa’s motorcade.


Mnangagwa was on his way to a rally in Kadoma but was delayed after the woman refused to pave way for him.

According to Mr Energy Mutodi , Mnangagwa then ordered his security team not to harm or chase away the woman.

Presidential Guard Soldier Emptied His Magazine Firing In The Air At Mnangagwa’s State House

Exiled politician Jonathan Moyo has claimed a young presidential guard soldier went beserk today and emptied his magazine firing into the air at the statehouse this morning.

Using the microblogging site, Twitter, the professor tweeted:

A young presidential guard soldier emptied his magazine firing in the air at State House in Harare this morning. He was arrested as he was reloading. He complained of hardships and said he “can’t survive in dead economy’. He’s been detained by the military at its holding cells!

Tension As Zimbabwe Airspace is Closed, Army Takes Over

Zimbabwe’s airspace is currently closed with no clear indication as to the reason behind it. There are many conflicting reports with some saying the Radar at R.G Mugabe is down while others claim Air Traffic controllers are on strike.

Pandemonium in Zim skies after suspected sabotage crushed the radar system at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport this morning!

At the moment no plane can leave or fly into Zimbabwe leading to chaos as some passengers are now stuck at the Harare airport. The news of airspace being closed has created anxiety among many Zimbabweans. Some social media users were saying the move was done to block certain individuals from leaving the country.
