Mliswa announces two COVID-19 cases at Chinese factory in Norton

MEMBER of the House of Assembly for Norton, Temba Mliswa (INDEPENDENT), has claimed that  coronavirus cases were reportedly detected at a Chinese tile-manufacturing company in Norton on Tuesday and staff will now undergo mandatory testing and isolation.

The factory in question is Sunny Yi Feng, which is in his constituency.

“I’ve just received notice that 2 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been detected at the Chinese tile factory, Sunny Yi Feng.

“This is a blow as I’ve always been concerned about this site and my fears appear confirmed. All the staff there will now undergo mandatory testing and isolation.

“More updates to follow as the situation is investigated,” said Mliswa.
