HARARE – Zimbabwean producer and musician Emmerson Mnangagwa Junior, popularly known as St Emmo, has released his third studio album, The Producer’s Album 2, a genre-blending masterpiece that highlights both household names and fresh talent from Zimbabwe’s music scene.
The highly anticipated album three years in the making features collaborations with top artists like Jah Prayzah, Gemma Griffiths, Sylent Nqo, and Josh Meck, as well as rising stars including Carlo, Zherklin (Jackie), Jay Afrik, and 18-year-old rapper Stan C from Chegutu.
“This album is significant because I have managed to feature a lot of Zimbabwean artists on it,” St Emmo said during the launch. “It’s my first major collaboration album, and it reflects the richness of our musical diversity.”
With a vibrant fusion of Alternative, Afrobeats, Hip Hop, Pop, Jazz Hip-Hop, and New Age, the 15-track project includes standout songs like MaBlesser (featuring Jay Afrik), Faded (with Josh Meck), Heat (featuring Poptain), and Higher (by Zherklin), all poised to dominate the airwaves.
Available on all major streaming platforms, The Producer’s Album 2 is more than an album.It is a celebration of Zimbabwe’s evolving soundscape. St Emmo teased upcoming visuals and performances, cementing his place as one of the country’s most progressive music producers.
