Mnangagwa Takes Over Presidency as Mugabe Leaves For Far East

PRESIDENT Mugabe left Harare yesterday for his annual holiday in the Far East. The President is expected back in Zimbabwe in mid-January.

 In his absence, Vice President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is the Acting President. VP Mnangagwa took his oath of office before President Mugabe last Friday along with VP Phelekezela Mphoko and a number of Cabinet ministers in the wake of the highly successful Zanu-PF 6th National People’s Congress.
