Mugabe relieves Mnangagwa his of duties

Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is no longer The Boss after Mugabe instructed him to take a break so that Mr Phelekezela Mphoko can also assume the duties of President while the 92-year-old is resting in the far east.

Mnangagwa  had been acting in the same capacity from the time President Mugabe commenced his annual leave in December last year.

Information, Media and Broadcasting Services secretary Mr George Charamba confirmed the developments.

Mnangagwa has recently come under fire after his claim to be The Boss and his association with Mugabe critics who were expelled from the party after they called for new leadership in Zanu PF.

He gave VIP treatment to people like rebel war vet Chris Mutsvangwa at Heroes Acre and went on to host a Christmas party at his home with well known faces that have been stripped of their Zanu PF membership over succession politics.
