TWO Zimbabwean students have been released from jail after calling President Robert Mugabe “Satan”.
Mugabe, the chancellor of all state universities, was making a speech at the event.
But he was interrupted by Tonderai Dombo – who made a loud protest in the middle of the ceremony on Thursday.
Promise Mkwananzi, spokesman for the Tajamuka protest movement, said Dombo was condemning mass unemployment in Zimbabwe.
The placards the student’s held read: “Graduate Today. Jobless Tomorrow”.
Gift Chuma yelled at the dictator that he was the devil.
The two student activists are believed to be part of the Tajamuka protest movement, which wants President Mugabe to step down.
President Mugabe, 92, has ruled the country with an iron-fist for 36 years.
Last week it was claimed that the ailing dictator was on his last legs as the country is racked by angry protests.
That’s only if you don’t believe Mugabe’s sensational claim that he has already died.
But even if the notorious dictator does die, there are rumours that his feared wife is set to take over control. -Dailystar
