LOCAL government minister, Saviour Kasukuwere, has linked former VP Joice Mujuru to a traditional healer who, in 2007, made fools of President Mugabe’s cabinet.
Controversial Rotina Mavhunga, aka Nomatter Tagarira, made government ministers believe she could conjure pure diesel to pour out of a rock and bring the country’s fuel problems to an end. Mugabe despatched cabinet ministers who included Didymus Mutasa, Kembo Mohadi and Sydney Sekeramayi to meet Mavhunga who sold them a dummy.
Speaking in Glen View Area 8 Home Industries in Harare Tuesday, Kasukuwere accused Mujuru of corruption, linking her party to Mavhunga who was jailed for fraud.
He said: “That party (ZimPF) also has diesel n’angas who lied about the Chinhoyi diesel issue. My question is where on earth would you see or obtain diesel from a mountain?”

“Mujuru and some of her senior members were dismissed for corruption and they would steal during day time,” said Kasukuwere.
He added, “Mujuru knows that she committed the offences. You (Mujuru) know that you will be arrested for committing the offences.”
“In Masvingo, all the money that was channelled for dam construction disappeared during their tenure in office. Zinwa also collapsed because of them and where are the irrigation schemes in Dande?” he said.
Kasukuwere went on: “If you are a thief you better talk about other things. We are aware of the diamonds that were taken to Kenya and by the way, in whose name were these diamonds taken to Kenya?
Mujuru has repeatedly said that she is innocent challenging the state to prove the allegations made against her. Recently, the Zimbabwe People First party leader told her supporters that she was sacked from government because she spoke against corruption.
Last year, then information minister, Jonathan Moyo, said some of the allegations against Mujuru amounted to “banter”.-Zimbabwean
