Nyasha Mushekwi Eyes Belgium Switch

MAMELODI Sundowns striker Nyasha Mushekwi could join Belgian Jupiter Pro League side Cercle Brugge.

KickOff.com reported Wednesday that Mushekwi has options to leave Sundowns and is back in training, but not with the senior team.

The Zimbabwean striker is yet to kick a soccer ball this season after injuring his knee during his loan spell with KV Oostende in Belgium last season.

Mushekwi’s agent Ralph Nkomo has revealed that Brugge has since expressed interest to sign his client.

“The chances are very good that he can permanently join Cercle Brugge. Next week we will start talking to Sundowns regarding that possibility,” Nkomo toldThe Standard newspaper.

“We want to avoid complications as much as possible because we could have sealed a permanent move to Oostende last January but nothing concrete came up.

“There is also another club that is keen on him but we cannot name it at the moment. That club wants to sell one of their strikers and that is why they prefer to be anonymous at the moment,” he added.AGENCIES

Mushekwi still had an outstanding scoring record for Sundowns before he fell out of favour, with 40 goals in 53 starts to his name.
