Afro Jazz musician Pah Chihera yesterday ignited speculation after she posted pictures of herself in a wedding dress on her Facebook page. She put a caption “Mai Kamara” on the pictures and this was received with mixed feelings by her fans. Some people were surprised with the development while others wished her good luck in her marriage.
“Is it true and and when was it happening. Please tell me you are joking because yesterday you were having your hair done.
So when was that wedding? Did it take place at night?” wrote Apronia Muchapondwa.
“Are you sure you are now married?” asked one Chris Ruhora.
A fellow artiste also wished Pah Chihera the best in her marriage
“That is sweet. I am happy for you. May the Lord God bless your marriage,” wrote Ndini Faith Candy Wacho, an urban grooves artiste.
Pah Chihera did not respond to the comments fueling speculation that the wedding had taken place.
However, in an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Pah Chihera dismissed the wedding issue saying they were just mere pictures she posted on her Facebook account.
“Those were Facebook pictures that have nothing to do with my marriage but what I want to tell you is that the wedding is coming soon,” she said.
Commenting on the caption “Mai Kamara”, she said she was referring to her aunt whom she wanted to tag.
A close source said the “Runonzi Rudo” hitmaker is in a serious relationship adding that the wedding would come sooner than expected.
“It is true that Pah is in a serious relationship and is getting married soon. About those pictures, maybe she was just thinking aloud as someone who is looking forward for wedding preparations soon,” said the source.
However, some of the people who were interviewed by this publication blasted the song bird saying that was a bad publicity stunt.
“What was that for, what is she trying to say, she is just looking for attention since we have not been hearing anything from her of late,” said Leosa Nyamadzawo.
Others said there was nothing wrong with the musician posting a picture in her wedding dress saying anyone can do it.
