“Pogba Always Has A Point To Prove” – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has showered praises on Paul Pogba following an impressive performance against Tottenham Hotspurs at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium last night.

The French midfielder was introduced in the second half and won the Red Devils a penalty which Bruno Fernandes converted towards the dying minutes of the match to equalise for Manchester United.

Pogba was making a comeback since sustaining an ankle injury on December 26 which sidelined him till last night. Speaking after the drawing with Spurs, Ole said:

It is great to see (Pogba) show his qualities and the contribution he made was big in us getting a penalty. He has had horrific injury-hit season and he is desperate to make up for lost time.

Paul always has a point to prove to himself and to us. He expects a lot from himself and wants to be the best. He trains hard and loves football.

The Man U boss added that “Paul did everything a midfielder should do, he tackled, won passes and showed some skills, so fantastic to have him back.”

The 27-year-old former Juventus star has in the recent past been linked with a move from Old Trafford with reports suggesting that he was not in good books with the coach.
