The SADC convention ends on Wednesday but Mugabe returned home prematurely after having flown into Mbabane, Swaziland, on Monday.

A unnamed source quoted by the independent media said: “He came back today because of health issues. It has to do with prostate cancer and is due to fly out early on Wednesday to Dubai,” one source said.

He will reportedly be treated for a urinary infection.

Flight tracking platforms show that Mugabe used an Air Zimbabwe plane that left Harare at 2245 hrs on Tuesday and his plane was last seen over the Indian Ocean, apparently en route to the Far East.

Singapore is Mugabe’s current favourite destination as a health tourist, having mysteriously abandoned Malaysia several years ago.

Mugabe, 92, is reportedly suffering from prostate cancer and his eyesight is increasingly failing due to old age.
