Popular Gospel Musician, Mathias Mhere’s marriage has crumbled after he discovered that his close friend, one Gift Mahlupeka has been having an affair with his wife, Susan Dzinamarira.
Gift, who is married, is also a gospel musician albeit low-key. As if to give a practical example to a line in his song, Usavimbe nemunhu, Mhere’s close associate went behind his back and got ‘personal’ with the musician’s wife.
Mhere stumbled upon Whatsapp conversations between Susan and Gift with most of the chats being of a sexual nature.
Mhere has since sent Susan packing after a six-year marriage blessed with three children.
Susan and Gift had been communicating through Whatsapp since November last year while deleting their chats but th cat got out of the bag when she forgot to clear the recent explosive chats.
In the ‘dirty chats’, the cheaters would send each other semi-nud3 pics while arranging on how they would engage in intercourse.
Susan hid behind the finger and said all was well in her marriage when she was accosted at the launch of Mhere’s album Glory to Glory last Friday.
Despite her denial, sources said she was sent packing after the scandal was unearthed while Mhere and her family indulge n talks to resolve the matter.
The Favour singer who is mourning his brother who died yesterday, could not say much when contacted for comment yesterday. “I lost my brother this morning(yesterday) and I would not want to talk much about that issue. This is all happening all at once. It is painful to discover something like that from someone you trust,” he lamented.
He said he would leave everything to God.
However, a source claimed that Susan confirmed the affair to a church Pastor. “He took her to his Pastor and she confessed that they had been dating but only for a week.
“He then took her to Gift’s place before she was sent to her parents in Mutare,” said the mole.
Interestingly, Gift had the guts to attend Mhere’s album launch last Friday.
Approached for a comment, Gift panicked and was jittery through the conversation.
He confirmed that Mhere once questioned him about the issue. “Ndiri kutoinzwa nemi….but we once talked about it last week. Mukoma Mathias asked me about that issue,” he said before deciding to cut short the conversation.
Gift’s credentials as a gospel musician have always been under scrutiny after he was spotted at some night spots. He is also understood to be battling some damaging allegations in Norton.
Mhere and Gift have been close with the former helping him launch his career. Gift also featured on Mhere’s DVDs, signs of their closeness before the ‘backstabbing.”H-Metro
