It had been planned that the 6th Zanu PF people’s congress would mark the demise of President Robert Mugabe, but the tables have however been turned, according to Gokwe-Nembudziya legislator Justice Mayor Wadyajena.
Wadyajena says it is Vice President Joice Mujuru and her gang who will instead face their waterloo at the congress.
Never had it happened in the history of Zanu PF and the country that a member of the Presidium would call for the ouster of the President.
But the year 2014 had everything packaged and events leading to the congress would read like any other famous movies.
Bold decisions have been taken and more will be taken at the congress.
Gokwe-Nembudziya MP Justice Mayor Wadyajena says the 6th Zanu PF National People’s Congress will deal once and for all with those who have rebelled against the leadership of President Mugabe, who was only last year given a fresh mandate by 62 per cent of the country to lead.
“Congress, starting this Thursday, will see the demise of Joice Mujuru. This is the end for her. Joice Mujuru and her people who wanted to revolt against the President do not deserve to be members of Zanu PF. Their political careers are coming to an end this week,” he said.
A Zanu PF Midlands province Women’s League executive member, Maybe Mbowa said factionalism has destroyed some of the districts adding a clear path has been set after the ouster of a number of people in the district who were fanning the vice.
Vice President Mujuru has since lost her Central Committee seat following allegations of corruption, abuse of office and a plot to assassinate President Robert Mugabe.
Nine provincial chairpersons have also been ousted, while the Secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa and national political commissar Webster Shamu also fell by the wayside.
