Zhuwao buries old mate Lumumba

YOUTH minister Patrick Zhuwao has appointed a seven-member Zimbabwe Youth Council board that is expected to serve for three years.

In April, Zhuwao appointed then Zanu PF activist Acie Lumumba Mutumanje to head a steering committee that was set to craft a document titled Zimbabwe Youth Empowerment Strategy for Investment. Lumumba’s 12-member team, however, fell flat following his public spat with Zhuwao.

Luumumba has since left Zanu PF and formed his own party, Viva Zimbabwe. The new executive comprises of William Chaitezvi (Mashonaland West), Theresa Chifamba (Midlands), Nickros Kajengo (Mashonaland Central), Tatenda Mavetera (Mashonaland East), Rinos Mautsa (Manicaland), Nyasha Sithole (Masvingo) and Tendai Rwodzi (Mashonaland West), while eight others will be appointed after consultations.
